Asparagus and pill bugs

I enjoy hand embroidery every morning.
My daughter and son wake up very early in the morning and I have time to enjoy stitching.

A few days ago, I made an asparagus and a flower with beads.

One of my friends liked the asparagus and I made more for her.
I'll put pins on the back of them and make asparagus brooches.
Then, I made other Kogin embroidery item. Could you see what they are?

They are pill bugs, my son loves them.
These are my favorite items.

Beads embroidery

I enjoy beads embroidery these days.
They are so cute and make me happy in my hands.

I'm trying various way of beads embroidery. It's easier stitching on felt than on linen.
Now I'm making linen brooches with these circles.
It's hard for me to stitch beautiful circles...
Small ones are for earrings. They are good for summer, aren't they?

I made a lot!

The kindergarten of my son has begun and I'm stitching a lot everyday.

I made a beaded dandelion brooch because he is in the class named dandelion.

While he was there, I made lots of Kogin embroidery accessories.
Hair clips,
many covered button accessories,

Bow hankies,
And earrings, barrettes, etc.
I'll sell them at an art event with friends.

I'm so happy to have my own time , even though 1-2 hours a day.

I found a very good tool for embroidery.

These days, I'm training to embroidery on fine linen fabric.
Because of the difficulty of counting, the results are not so good.

But finally, I found a good tool in my daughter's toy box.
This is it!

It's a light box to trace something. She got it for drawing Manga.

I can count linen easily on it.
Even on black or deep blue color, the light helps me to count it.
Now I can embroidery faster than before, and the result is more neat!
The other side is also beautiful. I love both sides. Which one do you like better?

I can't count linen.

Hello!
5 weeks after her injury, My daughter is better now and she could dance (hula) with her team today.

For the team member, I
made bow hair  pins as small  gifts.

My son is doing well too.
And he likes making something with me.
These days he makes lots of Sushi rolls of origami papers.
He makes them so often, and finally I made them by Kogin embroidery.

I stitch everyday and made many embroidery goods.

And now I'm trying to stitch on fine linen fabrics. But it's hard for me to count the linen.
I'm stitching everyday and want to do better! These are what I practiced on brown and yellow linen.

It was too hard for me to count the brown one. If you could stitch well on linen, please teach me how you practiced.

Thank you.

How to make LIBERTY ribbon hair clips

This morning, I found a good way to make ribbons using LIBERTY tana lawn.

Next to me, my son made sushi rolls for his dad.

I'll show you how I made them.

I cut a piece of the fabric in 2cm x 35 cm.

Then I put double sided tape on the center of it.

I folded the both sides releasing the paper of  the tape.

I folded it making triple bow shape.

Do you know this thread for making bows?
You just wrap the center 3-4 times using it, and it keeps the shape without knotting.
I made the bows with it.

I prepared another LIBERTY tape of about 5cm and made a knot.

I wrapped the bow with the knotted tape and sewed at the back.

At last, I attached the bow on the hair pin with a glue gun.

I also  made hair clips with cute lettering ribbons.

I'll be happy if you liked them and make your cute bows.

See you.

Embroidery at STARBUCKS at night, Japanese Hishizashi

Usually it's difficult to stitch at night because kids want to play with me.

I went to a STARBUCKS in Yokohama, Minatomirai with my sewing tools last night.
It's the first time for me to leave kids at home with their dad.

I enjoyed the city lights and cafe time without kids.

Then I began to stitch not Kogin, but Hishizashi.

Hishizashi is similar to Kogin but they are different. Kogin is odd counting and vertical, Hishizashi is even counting and horizontal.

It's very interesting. I finished each part one by one.

It's important to keep beautiful the back side too.

At last, I finished it. It's beautiful!

Do you like Hishizashi too?
